ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University, Holds Closing Ceremony for the Educational Tour Program on Public Health Policy for Public Health Personnel and Representatives from Meghalaya, Republic of India

On May 2, 2025, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University, held the closing ceremony for the training program titled “Educational Tour Program on Public Health Policy: Learning Experiences from Thailand”. The ceremony took place in Meeting Room 2108 at the AIHD Training Building and was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orapin Laosee, Deputy Director for Administration and Academic Services. She also presented certificates to the 33 participants from Meghalaya, Republic of India.
The program was held from April 28 to May 3, 2025, with the aim of providing participants with insights into Thailand’s public health policy implementation at both policy and operational levels. The program also served as a platform for knowledge exchange with experts from various fields through site visits to key agencies such as the Ministry of Public Health, the National Health Commission Office, the Department of Health Service Support, and the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth).
Additionally, the participants visited Ratchaburi Province to study community-level health operations, which could serve as a model for improving the public health system within the context of Meghalaya.
This initiative highlights Thailands role as a regional hub for public health learning and reinforces ongoing international academic collaboration.
