AUN-HPN Secretariat Office Collaborates with TUN-HPN to Advance Health Promotion Research in Thai Higher Education Institutions.

On May 21, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Executive Director of AUN-HPN and Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN and Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations at the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Holds Meeting with TUN-HPN. Asst. Prof. Dr. Chirawath Phatsara, Chair of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Committee and Assistant to the President of Chiang Mai University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cheema Soralump, Assistant to the President for Student Affairs and Sustainable Development at Kasetsart University and Mr. Phongsak Thongrattana, Director of the Office 8, ThaiHealth. The meeting aims to develop a research project initiated through the collaboration of TUN-HPN. The project’s main objective is to create standard operating procedures (SOPs) for health promotion that are adaptable to the local contexts of higher education institutions across Thailand. It focuses on the following key health challenges: 1. Mental health Led by Chiang Mai University 2. Physical activity Led by Kasetsart University 3. Tobacco/ Electronic Cigarette Led by Mahidol University The meeting took place at Krasae Chanawongse Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University, and was also conducted via Zoom Meeting for online participants.
