Meeting to Discuss the Development of the Project Proposal for the Osaka-Mahidol Joint Research Centre for Global Health Innovations

On May 21, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations, and staff from the Institute, participated in a meeting with Asst Prof. Dr. Likhit Priyanont, Deputy Dean for Information Technology, Faculty of Medical Technology, Mahidol University. The meeting also included Prof. Dr. Daisaku Nakatani and faculty members from the Osaka University Institute of Sports and Global Health (OuiSH), Osaka University, to discuss the development of academic collaboration in global health innovation.
During the meeting, Asst Prof. Dr. Likhit Priyanont presented information on the overall health status of Mahidol University personnel to highlight potential directions for research projects aimed at promoting health within the university and reducing health-related risk factors. The goal was also to explore opportunities for collaboration between the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, the Faculty of Medical Technology at Mahidol University, and OuiSH.
This presentation garnered interest from the OuiSH faculty, who expressed their support for further development of this knowledge into international research in alignment with the mission of the Osaka-Mahidol Joint Research Centre for Global Health Innovations, which is planned to be established in the future. Additionally, the OuiSH faculty provided feedback on the draft project proposal for the joint research initiative between the ASEAN Institute for Health Development and OuiSH, as well as on the planning for future collaborative operations.
The meeting took place at Krasae Chanawongse Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University, and was also conducted via Zoom Meeting for online participants.
