On June 6, 2025, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Department of Health, organized the closing ceremony for the first cohort of the “Mini Executive Program in Public Health Administration (Mini NOBOS), Department of Health, Class 1/2025.” The event took place at the Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health, Nonthaburi.
Dr. Pongpun Worapan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Health, presided over the ceremony and presented certificates to the 40 participants, who were officials from the Department of Health at senior professional levels and above. Associate Professor Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, delivered congratulatory remarks, highlighting the significance of the training program in enhancing leadership and management capabilities within the public health system.
The event also featured a presentation of group projects by the participants, showcasing practical solutions and innovations developed during the course. The projects were reviewed by a panel of esteemed experts, including Dr. Pongpun Worapan; Dr. Kittiphong Sae-Jeng, Senior Medical Specialist in Health Promotion; Dr. Warangkana Wetchawit, Specialist in Dental Public Health; Dr. Manas Ramkiatsak, Specialist in Maternal and Child Health; Ms. Wimon Banpuan, Specialist in Health Promotion; and Associate Professor Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj. The expert panel provided insightful feedback and recommendations for improving and adapting the group projects to suit various local contexts, aiming to strengthen public health operations across the country.
The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Nukulkij Phukathorn, Director of the Planning Division, who delivered an opening report, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Duangsamon Manowan and Dr. Akkadej Chaiyanavitchakij, faculty members from the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, who welcomed the guests and participants.
