The AUN-HPN Secretariat hosted a workshop on the Evaluation of Healthy University Rating System (HURS) 2025 for universities in the ASEAN University Network and interested universities.

On July 7, 2025, the AUN-HPN Secretariat organized a workshop on the Evaluation of the Healthy University Rating System (HURS) 2025. The workshop aimed to: 1) enable universities interested in participating in HURS evaluation to understand the various criteria and systematically prepare data for assessment, 2) provide guidance on using the data submission system for evaluation, and 3) facilitate learning and exchange experiences on driving health-promoting universities among member universities in the network. The workshop was chaired by Prof. Dr. Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., FRCP, the President of Mahidol University. The welcome speech was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanapan Laiprakobsup, Deputy Director for AUN Executive Director. The distinguished speaker lineup included Prof. Dr. Chartchalerm Isarankura-Na-Ayudhya, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University and Chair of the Committee on HURS Development; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Executive Director of AUN-HPN and Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN and Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations at ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University; Dr. Wiwat Rojanapithayakorn, M.D., Advisor of the AUN-HPN Steering Committee; Asst. Prof. Dr. Vijj Kasemsup, M.D., Director of Tobacco Control Research and Knowledge Management Center (TRC); and Asst. Prof. Dr. Supaporn Songpracha, a lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Mahidol University. These experts served as instructors, sharing their knowledge and fostering a deeper understanding of health-promoting university approaches for 90 participants from 44 universities in 7 countries across ASEAN. The workshop was conducted virtually via Zoom.
